Jean M. (Rotter) Ruhlemann

Jean M. (Rotter) Ruhlemann, 69, of Valley St., Providence, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (D’Amore) Fine of Jamestown and the late William C. Rotter.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Jean was a social worker for the state of Massachusetts for many years before retiring.

Besides her mother, Jean was the mother of Akinola “Akins” Balogun of Providence; stepmother of Abbie Kuechler of CT; sister of Carol Rotter of Cranston and the late Joanne Lake; aunt of Gregory Lake of CT, and Brandon Lake of Foster; and great-aunt of Alexander Lake of Foster.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
