80, of Narragansett passed away peacefully Thursday, June 9, 2022.
Born in New York, NY he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Lillian (Robishaw) Deignan.
He graduated from South Kingstown High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.
Gerald was the owner of Narragansett Video Shoppe for many years and retired from Walmart.
He enjoyed photography, model trains, skeet shooting, reading and traveling especially to Tennessee. He loved dogs, vintage cars and Seekonk Speedway.
He leaves his three daughters, Lisa E. Deignan of North Kingstown, Pamela A. Deignan of Narragansett and Cheryl Anderson and her husband Douglas of Warwick; his former wife, Teresa (Filippi) Deignan of NH; two grandchildren, Douglas Anderson, Jr. and Jessica Anderson; and a great-grandson, Colton Mitchell; a sister, Marilyn Guthrie of GA; a sister-in-law Gerri Deignan; two nieces, Kim and Terry; a nephew, Kenny; and many great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Thomas Deignan and Norman Deignan; and uncle of the late Patrick Deignan.
His services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
