92, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Viola (Cortellessa) Pizzi for 69 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Filomena (Indeglia) Pizzi.
Anthony worked as an operating engineer for S & R Construction for 45 years until his retirement. He was a Union Member of Local 57 operating engineers.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving sons, Stephen Pizzi and his wife Lora, and Anthony Pizzi Jr. and his wife Cathy; cherished grandchildren Tara, Steve Jr., Chelsea and great granddaughter Olivia; dear siblings Vincent and Angelo Pizzi. He was brother of the late Joseph, Gilda, Frances, Thomas Jr., and Rocco Pizzi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
